Shape what opens next

Midpack Hero is opening more of New Zealand. A region opens when it has enough real ground, FKT routes and races to be worth running in, and the people who know those places are the ones who can send them in.

That can be you. Race organisers, club runners and the person who knows the bit everyone gets wrong are all welcome. Everything is read by a person before it goes anywhere near the game.

Wellington is where the game runs today. The other regions are counted from what has been published for them, whether or not they are open to play.

Send something in

Pick what you are sending, the region it is in, and the GPX of the course. Races and routes need at least one link to a page about the real thing: the organiser's, a results list or a write-up. Only the part of the GPX between the two handles is sent. The rest stays in your browser.

Your name Your email For a receipt on races and routes, and a note if it goes in the game. What is it Region If somewhere else, which region The name it has on a map. Ground has to be in a region from the list, so for a new one send a race or a route. Name of the course What the organiser calls it, or what people call it.

The course as a GPX Your file is read here in the browser. Nothing is sent until you send it.

Drag either end. The lit part is what gets sent. The dim parts stay here, so a run from your front door stays your business.

Links (races and routes) One per line, up to 8. The organiser's page, a results list, a race report. Anything else Stories, local knowledge, the bit everyone gets wrong.

We keep your name and email with what you send, so you can be credited and told how it went. The tick is the only reason we would write about anything else, and we record when you ticked it and the words beside it. What we hold.

A mashup from Molehill and TRNZ.
